Our service

In-home support and coaching for adolescents and young adults (ages 13-25) with eating disorders

We help teens and young adults recover from eating disorders and support their families through the journey.

We work with you in your home, every day, supporting and guiding you through eating disorder recovery.

We primarily work with Anorexia (AN) and Bulimia (BN), but we are able to work with Binge eating disorder (BED), OSFED, and ARFID as well.

“Kathryn gave me hope when I didn't know I wanted any and didn't know there was any to be had.”

what is In-home Eating Disorder coaching?

Eating disorder treatment isn't one-size-fits-all. Residential care is the right fit for some teens, weekly outpatient therapy works well for others — but there's a significant gap in between, and that's exactly where a lot of families get stuck.

That gap is also where relapse most often begins. Leaving a higher level of care like residential or PHP is one of the most vulnerable moments in recovery. Without the right support to bridge that transition, the progress made in treatment can unravel quickly once a teen is back home in real life.

Recover at Home was built to close that gap.

We provide intensive, hands-on support that meets teens where recovery actually happens — at home, at the dinner table, in the moments that weekly therapy sessions can't reach. We're not a replacement for clinical care. We work directly alongside your outpatient treatment team, implementing their recommendations in real time, hour by hour and day by day. That means interventions are applied consistently, families have support during the hard moments, and progress doesn't stall between appointments.

Think of us as the bridge between a higher level of care and independent living — structured enough to provide real accountability, but personalized enough to fit into your teen's actual life.

What Recover at Home Coaches Do:

  • Meal preparation, support, and supervision – We communicate with your dietitian on a regular basis and use their prescribed meal plan to prepare all meals and snacks.

  • Real-time coping strategies – We provide practical tools to manage urges, negative thoughts, and difficult emotions as they arise.

  • Accountability and structure – We keep you accountable between your appointments. We bring you to your appointments and debrief them afterwards.

  • Behavioral monitoring – We are trained to identify, address, and manage eating disorder behaviors.

  • Inspire, motivate, and empower - We inspire and motivate you to want to recover, and empower you to do it.

The Goal:

To accelerate recovery by providing expert support exactly when and where it's needed most—in the daily moments that make all the difference. By the time we transition out, you will be recovered and equipped with the skills you need to sustain recovery for life.
