Our service

In-home support and coaching for adolescents and young adults (ages 13-25) with eating disorders

We help teens and young adults recover from eating disorders and support their families through the journey.

We work with you in your home, every day, supporting and guiding you through eating disorder recovery.

We primarily work with Anorexia (AN) and Bulimia (BN), but we are able to work with Binge eating disorder (BED), OSFED, and ARFID as well.

  • Our founder's journey with anorexia revealed a critical gap in eating disorder care. Despite access to excellent clinical treatment and family support, recovery took far longer than necessary—not due to lack of effort, but due to lack of the right kind of support.

What was missing was a specialized coach who could bridge the clinical care team and the lived experience of recovery—someone who could provide practical, day-to-day guidance that complements professional treatment and fills gaps that families, despite their best intentions, cannot always address alone.

Filling that gap became our mission. Recover at Home was founded to provide the evidence-informed coaching and mentorship that enables and accelerates recovery, while supporting families through every stage of the journey.

Our team combines professional training, clinical knowledge, and lived experience in recovery. We work alongside your existing care team to provide the consistent, specialized support that makes a measurable difference in recovery outcomes.

Recovery is possible, and the right support system makes all the difference. We're here to help you and your family navigate this journey with confidence.

“Kathryn gave me hope when I didn't know I wanted any and didn't know there was any to be had.”

what is In-home Eating Disorder coaching?

In-home eating disorder recovery coaching provides individualized, hands-on support in the environment where recovery actually happens—your home. Residential and PHP programs are disruptive to the patient and family’s life. And for many, these types of treatments may do more harm than good, or simply won’t be effective given their history or resistance.

That’s where we come in. We offer an alternative. We provide intensive, individualized in-home support.

We work alongside the outpatient treatment team. We are not a replacement for clinical care. We are an extension of the clinical treatment team. We work with you in your home, hour by hour, day by day, implementing the clinical care team’s treatment plan and recommendations. We ensure interventions are consistently applied, that you and your family have real-time support during challenging moments, and that progress doesn’t stall.

By adding this level of support, we are able to make outpatient care effective for those who need more support than weekly sessions can provide.

What Recover at Home Coaches Do:

  • Meal preparation, support, and supervision – We communicate with your dietitian on a regular basis and use their prescribed meal plan to prepare all meals and snacks.

  • Real-time coping strategies – We provide practical tools to manage urges, negative thoughts, and difficult emotions as they arise.

  • Accountability and structure – We keep you accountable between your appointments. We bring you to your appointments and debrief them afterwards.

  • Behavioral monitoring – We are trained to identify, address, and manage eating disorder behaviors.

  • Inspire, motivate, and empower - We inspire and motivate you to want to recover, and empower you to do it.

The Goal:

To accelerate recovery by providing expert support exactly when and where it's needed most—in the daily moments that make all the difference. By the time we transition out, you will be recovered and equipped with the skills you need to sustain recovery for life.
